Peoria’s 52nd Steamboat Classic will return to the Riverfront this weekend with 4-mile and 15K races that include the USAFT 4-Mile Championships and Masters events + over $80,000 in prizes. The race will begin at 7:55 a.m. at NE Washington and Hamilton.
Local fire departments, including West Peoria, received part of a $6 million grant from the Illinois State Fire Marshal’s Office for small firefighting and ambulance equipment. Awards ranged from $12,790 to $26,000 under the Small Equipment Grant Program.
