- ➤ Jerry Bell, a finalist for superintendent of Peoria Public Schools, challenged the community to help tackle an educational epidemic and urged full representation in curriculum and staff. He outlined plans for a curriculum audit & financial review and more diverse hires if selected. WCBU
- ➤ Peoria Public Schools held a ribbon-cutting ceremony yesterday for a $12.3 million domed athletic practice facility located north of the football field at the stadium, and the indoor dome spans over 140,000 sqft with synthetic turf for football, soccer, baseball, softball and golf training. - ➤ On Wednesday, over 30 Princeville parents gathered at High Voltage Taphouse to sign a petition calling for Superintendent Tony Shinall’s removal after a four-year-old reported being roughly handled during a school discipline; state and local agencies have cleared Shinall of any wrongdoing. WMBD

- ➤ After the CPB board voted to dissolve the organization, WTVP said it will rely on local donations & partnerships to cover funding gaps as federal support dwindled.
