  • Peoria Public Works crews are plowing residential streets this evening and overnight as subzero temperatures may refreeze treated roads — officials warn drivers to be cautious and residents to clear sidewalks for safe access.  25 News Now
  • Recent snowfall left roads slick and crews worked 12-hour shifts beginning Saturday at 7 p.m. to clear arterial routes, with treatment of residential streets starting late Sunday as snowfall tapered off around noon + officials urged drivers to avoid on-street parking on emergency routes for 48 hours.  25 News Now

SPORTS NEWS

  • At least 11 NFL players and several coaches with Illinois roots will compete in Super Bowl 60 on Sunday, Feb. 8 at Levi’s Stadium (a historic venue in Santa Clara). Their journeys began in local programs and colleges across Illinois before reaching the professional level.  Pekin Daily Times
