- ➤ A fire at a South Peoria home displaced a family of four on Sunday and caused about $75,000 in damage, with firefighters arriving around 1:40 p.m. to ventilate the burning structure (no injuries were reported). WMBD
- ➤ A fire on Sunday damaged a home on West Montana Street and displaced a family of four in South Peoria—firefighters reported that an electrical problem sparked the blaze, and the American Red Cross is helping the family find new housing. 25 News Now
EDUCATION NEWS
- ➤ On Super Bowl Sunday, community members gather at Jimmy's Bar in West Peoria to raise funds for the MOGO/TKN Scholarship Fund honoring two former local athletes with a $10,000 award for a Notre Dame High School graduate, continuing a tradition begun in 1983 and expanded in 2013. 25 News Now
