- ➤ Peoria County’s drought has caused 21 brush fires since December, and Fire Chief Shawn Sollberger urged residents to avoid outdoor burning as burn permits are suspended. Farm Bureau Manager Charlie Hensley warned that at least an inch of rain weekly is needed to ease drought conditions and protect spring planting. 25 News Now
