- ➤ At Kelleher's Irish Pub & Eatery, 152 participants plunged into freezing water on Saturday for the annual Law Enforcement Torch Run Polar Plunge and raised over $47,000 to fund Special Olympics Illinois programs. The fundraiser marked its seventh year in Peoria, with spectators cheering on the costumed plungers. 25 News Now
- ➤ Over 700 people participated in Pathway Ministries' Walk a Mile in My Shoes fundraiser on Saturday morning in East Peoria — raising over $100,000 for local homelessness support. The group started at Embassy Suites and walked across Murray Baker Bridge to downtown where they met individuals in need. 25 News Now
