- ➤ The 2026 Official Spring Home Show began Friday at the Peoria Civic Center and runs through Sunday with 150+ companies presenting 400 booths and features for home, landscaping and kids. Tickets cost $7 at the door, with free entry for kids under 18 and $3 for seniors and veterans. WMBD

- ➤ Kroger confirmed one Illinois store at 3311 N. Sterling Ave. in Peoria will close about Aug. 2 as part of its nationwide plan to shutter 60 locations from mid-2025 through end 2026 & cut costs while transferring employees. Pekin Daily Times

- ➤ Illinois residents can view a total lunar eclipse on Tuesday, March 3. The moon enters Earth's shadow at 2:44 a.m. CT, reaches totality at 5:04 a.m. CT, and ends at 8:23 a.m. CT & cloudy skies with a chance of rain may affect the view. Pekin Daily Times

- ➤ Renovation work on the Civic Center’s glass arcade will begin Monday — work is set to continue through September and will close Fulton Avenue entrances, the patio walkway by the Sonar Tide sculpture, and the interior lobby walkthrough. WCBU

- ➤ The Peoria Riverfront Museum has a new exhibit called Athletes that features basketball legend Curley “Boo” Johnson and Olympic figure skater Matt Savoie. Johnson, who started at local high schools and played 18 seasons with the Harlem Globetrotters, hopes the exhibit will inspire local dreamers. 25 News Now
