- ➤ Owner Amy Tomblin of Meet Me On Madison did not renew her lease at Twin Towers Mall after a Saturday dispute that left doors locked and police cars outside as she prepared for a private event. She cancelled the event, losing $600, and will close the café on March 31. 25 News Now
EDUCATION NEWS
- ➤ Over 850 students from more than 70 schools competed at the Peoria Civic Center on Saturday in the 15th annual State Chess Tournament. The eight-round event awarded team trophies and individual medals to students in grades 6 to 8 & promoted interest in chess. 25 News Now
GOVERNMENT NEWS
- ➤ On Monday, the University Street and Northmoor Intersection Reconstruction Project will close lanes on University Street from Cherokee Lane to the North Post Office, while turns onto Northmoor stay open. Bridge repairs on I-74 will start Thursday and Smithville Road will close until June. WMBD
