- ➤ Big Al's Speakeasy at 400 SW Jefferson Ave is proposed to reopen as a strip joint and concert hall as Ty Seibert submitted a plan to City Hall. The venue, dark since 2024, will host concerts and operate (8 p.m. to 1 a.m.) on select nights while its review continues. WMBD

- ➤ Riverfront Museum hosted a documentary screening of ‘One Crazy idea’ celebrating 45 years of the St. Jude — Memphis to Peoria run that supports kids with cancer. The ticketed event occurred tonight, and the run will take place on Aug. 1. 25 News Now

- ➤ Illinois 4-H partners with the AISWCD Forestry Committee to boost oak savannahs using volunteer mentors, and will plant 25 four-foot oak trees in Woodford County on April 25 at Parklands Chinquapin Bluffs — plans for events in Peoria remain to be set. 25 News Now
