- ➤ Gas prices in Peoria dropped 2.5 cents a gallon to $3.23 on Monday as a GasBuddy survey of 148 stations showed prices falling five cents lower than last month and nearly 34 cents lower than a year ago. Patrick De Haan warned that the lower prices may signal a slowing economy—prices may remain low until conditions improve—prompting closer monitoring of future trends. WMBD
