CRIME NEWS
- ➤ Peoria County Coroner identified the body found in the Illinois River on Monday as Alexsus Nellum (24) from Peoria Heights; she was found near Mosaic Company's facility (8700 block of Cargill Road) and may have been in the water for at least 24 hours as officials continue their investigation. - ➤ A woman died after reportedly being struck by a vehicle on Wednesday evening in Peoria when officers responded just before 7:00 p.m. near Knoxville and East Orchard—where the driver and vehicle remained at the scene as the investigation continued. WMBD
- ➤ The former CEO of Reditus labs, Aaron Rossi, was indicted for receiving contraband in the Peoria County Jail — his possession of a vape pen threatened jail security — while 25-year-old Ezekiel Hidden faces misconduct charges for bringing contraband into the facility. WMBD

- ➤ On this week's episode of Out and About, Dr. Mae Gilliland from ArtsPartners of Central Illinois talked with Jon Young, owner of Young Dance Inc., who shared his goal to make ballroom, Latin and swing dance accessible across the region.
