ACCIDENTS NEWS

  • One person died from a multi-vehicle crash that happened Saturday night near Forrest Hill and University in Peoria—three vehicles including a motorcycle were involved and Illinois State Police led the investigation after Peoria Police handled many calls.  WMBD
  • A 39-year-old man, Keith Seigel, died after he fled a dump truck crash in a ditch in Hanna City as deputies responded near 3rd Street and Farmington Road just before 10:45 p.m. Friday and later found him not breathing at a nearby business at 2:30 a.m. Saturday—witness accounts and camera footage suggest he fell from a retaining wall and struck his head while the investigation continues.  WMBD

ECONOMY NEWS

  • Gas prices in Peoria went up a little today as GasBuddy reported an average of $3.27 per gallon of unleaded—up 4.3 cents from last week—and AAA showed similar numbers for the Peoria-Pekin area. Analysts said the increase is due to the final steps in switching to a summer blend of gasoline.  WMBD

SPORTS NEWS

  • After defeating George Mason 75—67 on Saturday, the Bradley Braves earned a chance to host one final game at Carver Arena in Peoria with Christian Davis and Corey Thomas each scoring 21 points. They will play Chattanooga on Tuesday night— the winner will advance to the semifinals at Hinkle Fieldhouse on April 1.  WMBD
