ACCIDENTS NEWS
- ➤ Peoria firefighters arrived Friday night at 7:45 p.m. at Adams and Western Avenue for a crash that injured several people and trapped one inside a vehicle—crews removed the door with rescue tools to free the patient and took all occupants to a hospital for evaluation. WMBD
CRIME NEWS
- ➤ A male pedestrian, identified as Michael Ayers (35), was struck by a vehicle while crossing a road in Washington late Wednesday night and died at OSF Healthcare St. Francis Medical Center in Peoria as his autopsy revealed multiple blunt force injuries and the investigation remains ongoing. WCBU

- ➤ Grammy award-winning rock band The Wallflowers led by Jakob Dylan will perform at the historic Scottish Rite Theatre in Peoria on Wednesday, Aug. 6 at 8 p.m.—tickets start at $49.50. GOVERNMENT NEWS
- ➤ The second demolition of the McClugage Bridge will occur Wednesday morning at 9:30 a.m. and will shut the bridge and nearby roads for about one hour—Route 150 traffic will be rerouted via the interchange ramps—as one of seven weekly events removing the old eastbound structure, with a final demolition added for mid-June due to rising Illinois River waters.
