- ➤ On April 9, IDOT will close roads near McClugage Bridge at 9:30 a.m. for the demolition of the underdeck truss on the Peoria County side, and a 1,000-foot security perimeter will be enforced—drivers should allow extra time for delays as further explosions are scheduled for later dates. - ➤ The Illinois Department of Transportation stated that roads near McClugage Bridge on Peoria and Tazewell county sides will close at 9:30 a.m. on Wednesday, April 9—allowing demolition work using explosive charges to cut steel in precise spots. The demolition will remove the underdeck truss on the Peoria side while contractors plan additional explosions on April 14, April 21, May 26, June 9, and June 16—ensuring safety with a 1,000-foot security perimeter and drone restrictions.
