- ➤ On April 19, the Pediatric Resource Center held a 5K run at Donovan Park with about 150 participants jogging and walking along trails lined with pinwheels — a symbol for child abuse prevention during Child Abuse Prevention Month. The event, held for more than a decade, will use all proceeds to support care and services for children who may have been abused or neglected. 25 News Now
GOVERNMENT NEWS
- ➤ Motorists in Peoria face lane reductions today as a routine inspection of the westbound McClugage Bridge causes daily closures this week — IDOT confirmed no demolition is planned for the old span. Traffic will also be affected by lane closures on Moss Avenue starting at 7 a.m. and on Camp Street in East Peoria as part of ongoing reconstruction and adjustment efforts. WMBD
