- ➤ The Moss Avenue Sale will move to the Founders Circle quad near Bradley University on June 7 at 8 a.m. while its historic street undergoes major reconstruction — nearly $11 million is being spent to rebuild Moss Avenue between Western and Sheridan with more than 100 vendors set to offer antiques, food and live music. ACCIDENTS NEWS
- ➤ A crash around 10:30 a.m. on Friday morning involving a semi and two other vehicles closed N. Knoxville and E. Forrest Hill Avenues—one driver received minor injuries while fuel from the semi leaked onto the road and held up traffic for over an hour. WMBD
- ➤ Firefighters rescued a person from a rollover accident near N. Flora and W. Archer as they arrived around 9:30 p.m. on Thursday night – the person was freed through the sunroof and stayed alert before being taken to a hospital — Peoria Police are investigating the crash. WMBD

- ➤ George McKenna has been named the new regional superintendent for Peoria County and will start his role tomorrow—June 1—after nearly a decade as assistant superintendent under retiring leader Beth Crider. - ➤ A bill called the Prescription Drug Affordability Act passed the state Senate on Thursday with a 56–1 vote to cap fees on pharmacy benefit managers and cut prescription drug costs—supporting local independent pharmacies. It now awaits House approval and would require PBMs to return rebates and stop steering patients to affiliated pharmacies. WMBD
- ➤ Peoria Rep. Jehan Gordon-Booth sponsored the Clean Slate Act, which passed the House Friday by a vote of 81 to 28 and would let law enforcement automatically seal nonviolent criminal records twice a year to help remove barriers to employment and housing for nearly 921,000 eligible Illinois residents—lawmakers will now debate the bill in the Senate while addressing funding concerns to avoid unfunded mandates for local governments.
