ACCIDENTS NEWS
- ➤ On Sunday morning, a sedan crashed into St. Vincent De Paul Catholic Church on the 6000 block of N. University Street — one person was taken to the hospital and the building suffered extensive damage before officials later deemed it safe for services to resume. 25 News Now
ECONOMY NEWS
- ➤ Gas prices in Peoria dropped 4.1 cents last week and now average $3.24, which is 9.6 cents lower than a month ago and 47.6 cents lower than last year, according to GasBuddy. AAA Illinois reported a $3.25 average in the Peoria/Pekin area—hinting at ongoing declines as wholesale costs ease. WMBD

- ➤ A new study by SmartAsset ranks Peoria among the top 20 housing markets for first-time buyers and first for affordable home prices, noting that local home sale prices average about twice the median income.
