EDUCATION NEWS

  • Peoria-area high school teams competed at the 2025 IHSA bass fishing state finals at Lake Shelbyville on Friday and Saturday; Windsor won the championship by reeling in 24 pounds, 14 ounces (their winning total) while St. Charles North and Orland Park Sandburg tied for second with 23 pounds, 1 ounce each. Brimfield finished as the highest local team at 13th place, and teams from Richwoods, Olympia, Midland and Farmington placed 14th, 19th, 39th and 55th respectively.  Pekin Daily Times
