- ➤ Four cats were rescued from a home fire on North Frostwood Parkway in Peoria — firefighters arrived to find heavy smoke and extensive damage but no injuries — and the cause remains unknown. 25 News Now
- ➤ At around 3:22 a.m. Saturday, firefighters responded to a house fire near Frostwood Parkway and Richards Lane where two people escaped safely and four cats were rescued—investigators with a fire investigation dog are examining the cause amid extensive smoke damage—while the living room fire was contained. - ➤ Police were called to a fight at a gas station parking lot at Main and Sheridan in West Bluff around 2 p.m.—a gun was fired but no one was hit, and one man got a cut on his head that led him to the hospital. 25 News Now
- ➤ A 19-year-old woman was formally charged with aggravated arson after setting a porch on fire near Howett and Blaine in South Peoria around 11 a.m. Thursday while three people were in the home with no injuries reported. She admitted pouring gasoline on the porch and was released with conditions including GPS monitoring, a curfew and no contact with the victims. WMBD
- ➤ A 20 year old man named Christopher Adams is in custody after he was arrested Friday for the first degree murder of Teron Scott Jr who died after gunshot wounds in a crashed car on South MacArthur while a 19 year old man with a non life threatening wound was taken to a hospital and police continue their investigation.
