- ➤ A fire severely damaged a home on W. Millbrook Court Sunday night, displacing two residents and causing an estimated $250,000 in damage as crews cut a hole in the roof to stop the spread + the American Red Cross is helping the displaced while Peoria Fire investigates the accidental cause from an outdoor cooking smoker. ECONOMY NEWS
- ➤ Gas prices in Peoria have risen by 9.1 cents in the past week—averaging $3.36 a gallon on Monday and marking a 12.2-cent increase from last month while being 29.8 cents lower than a year ago. GasBuddy forecasts that by July 4 the national average will drop to $3.15 per gallon—thanks to easing Middle East tensions and increased OPEC oil production. WMBD
