ACCIDENTS NEWS
- ➤ Firefighters responded Friday night at 11:15 p.m. to a fire on Braves Court that engulfed two apartment units due to accidental fireworks — they rescued three cats with no injuries and caused an estimated $300,000 in damage. 25 News Now
- ➤ Peoria Fire Department responded just before 1 a.m. Saturday to a garage fire on North Ellis St. where a detached garage burned and its heat damaged a neighboring garage — damage is estimated to be about $30,000 with no injuries reported. 25 News Now
CRIME NEWS
- ➤ Peoria police confirmed no injuries after shots were fired in South Peoria early Saturday at 4:15 a.m. on the 600 block of South Western Avenue—officers later located 32-year-old Kevin LB Boyce firing a weapon on the 1800 block of Howett Street and took him into custody. WMBD
