- ➤ Kids at a lemonade stand in Peoria raised $55,095 on Saturday—exceeding their $50,000 goal to help children at St. Jude—and will continue collecting donations until next weekend. WMBD
- ➤ Local veterans rode motorcycles Saturday on the 10th annual Central Illinois Vets for Vets ride that left the American Legion Post 979 in Bartonville and helped raise money for veteran groups such as Greater Peoria Honor Flight — Fuller Center and Purple Heart Foundation. The ride also stopped in Chillicothe, Dunlap and Washburn. WMBD

- ➤ Gas prices in Peoria dropped by 2.7 cents to an average of $3.29 on Monday—a survey of 148 stations showed prices are 6.5 cents lower than last month and 46.8 cents lower than a year ago. The decline comes as demand eased heading into August—experts say a gradual price drop may continue if market conditions remain stable. WMBD
