- ➤ Fire officials say arson set a fire at a vacant house near Warren and Ann Streets in South Peoria; firefighters arrived at 3:35 a.m. Saturday and extinguished the blaze within 10 minutes (accelerants were found on the stairs and second floor) with no injuries reported. WMBD
- ➤ Sheriff's deputies responded at 1:41 a.m. Saturday to a rural Washburn home in Woodford County—about 25 miles northeast of Peoria—where a domestic incident left a woman with gunshot wounds outside and a man with a self-inflicted wound upstairs; both were taken to a hospital with conditions not released.
