- ➤ A 29-year-old man forced his way into a home near Plank—Farmington Roads Sunday around 3:05 p.m., prompting the family to lock themselves in a bedroom as the father fought him off until deputies arrived to arrest him. WMBD
- ➤ A man surrendered after a standoff with Peoria Police near N. Woodbine Terrace and W. Forrest Hill Avenue Monday afternoon — he had barricaded himself in a home with a knife and lighter fluid and made suicidal statements — and was taken to a hospital without incident. WMBD
- ➤ Peoria police arrested 42-year-old Clarissa Davs after officers found a 59-year-old man with a stab wound in the 1000 block of NE Perry at about 7:30 a.m. Saturday — his injuries were not life-threatening — and she is now held at Peoria County Jail. WMBD

- ➤ The Peoria County Board is set to vote this week on a request from Liberty Steel & Wire for a $2.65M economic development loan to finance equipment as the company plans to move its headquarters from Texas to Bartonville.
