The Center for Prevention of Abuse’s 38th annual duck race raised $230,000 at EastSide Centre in East Peoria as hundreds cheered the sale of 35,000 rubber ducks — all funds that will support local abuse prevention programs.

Peoria Public Schools' Board will consider hiring an outside firm to audit finances for the 2024-2025 and 2025-2026 school years at its meeting Monday, Aug.
24 at 6:30 p.m. following a recent CFO resignation.
More than 600 new students moved in on Saturday at Bradley University, where Greek life volunteers (helping ease first-day nerves) welcomed incoming freshmen as they began their academic journey.
