- ➤ The Peoria Fine Art Fair returns for its 63rd year this weekend at Riverfront Festival Park with events on Saturday from 10-5 and Sunday from 10-4. Over one hundred juried artists will display varied works, and tickets cost $10 for adults while Art Guild members enjoy free entry and early access on Saturday at 9 a.m.—families can also visit the Kids Fest for hands-on art projects. - ➤ Peoria City Council looked at a two-year budget plan that sets 2026 spending at $301 million and income at $298 million with a reserve of $136.3 million. - ➤ The Peoria Rivermen traded SPHL Goaltender of the Year Colby Muise to Fayetteville on Wednesday in exchange for top defenseman Nick Parody and signed four other players—veteran Braydon Barker, former Macon defenseman Dustin Perillat, and rookies Caydon Meyer and Landon Johnson to strengthen their team. Coach Jean-Guy Trudel said the move was necessary as Muise will join Greenville camp this fall while the team plans to rely on Nick Latinovich for most games. Pekin Daily Times
