Good morning, Peoria.

Fifteen Bradley women’s softball players helped beautify parkland by spreading mulch, cutting dead branches, and clearing trash during Saturday’s Western Avenue Greenway Project workday in Peoria, marking their third year of service.

Residents painted mini bison statues at a contest held at the Fired Up studio, and elected officials chose Christina Glover’s Starry Night inspired design as the winner.

The full-size statue was unveiled yesterday at the Bicentennial Block Party near the courthouse—mini statues will return to their spots on Monday.
