Good morning, Peoria.

City Hall opened a time capsule that is 128 years old on Sunday in Peoria as city leaders, historians and community members gathered at the Gateway Building by Childers.

The capsule holds items such as old newspapers and photographs — a snapshot of the past — and has inspired plans for a new time capsule to be sealed in 2026.

Over the weekend, Peoria’s Lebanese community held its 98th annual Itoo Supper at Itoo Hall on Farmington Road where thousands enjoyed traditional dishes + the event raised funds for clubhouse repairs and supported efforts in Itoo in Lebanon.
