Good morning, Peoria.

Peoria’s Afro African Police League and Afro American Firefighters Association hosted their 30th Children’s Christmas Party on Saturday, treating kids to a movie, popcorn and toys while parents got Aldi gift cards.

In partnership with Peoria Public Schools, the event aimed to support families and build trust with first responders.

Peoria Public Works crews are using tandem plowing to clear slick roads during heavy snow and high winds, urging motorists to keep a safe distance + avoid passing plows as they work on busy streets and plan to shift to residential areas later this evening.
